Portal 64 was a project helmed by James Lambert designed to run on original N64 Hardware. I joined the project and assisted by painting the lighting for the environments, which was done entirely through vertex color. Because this was designed to run on the N64 I needed to make precise cuts into the geometry to give myself the perfect light and shadow. I used the original Portal game's lightmaps as reference for the vertex color lighting. Blender is the program I used to paint the vertex color lighting.
